Saturday January 26th

We arrived in Madrid at 4.00 pm and took the tube to do sightseeing in the centre

The bear is the symbol of Madrid      Daniel, Vanille and Laura

We arrived at about 1.00 am in Miajadas .

Arrivée tardive à Miajadas , située à 3h à l'est de Madrid , prés de la frontière portugaise

We stayed at our host families in Miajadas, Extremadura ( it is situated 3 hours east of Madrid)

Sunday January, 27^th

in Mérida
Visite guidée de Mérida, magnifiques théâtre et amphithéâtre romains et visite du musée

In the morning, we visited first a Roman theatre and amphitheatre, then we visited the Roman Art Museum and we had a little visit in the town in order to see other ruins.


In the afternoon, we had free time so we went for a walk with the Spanish students. It was rainy but we spoke a lot so it was fun.

The visit of the museum was not as interesting as the visit of the theatre and the amphitheatre because ,to me, it was a bit long but we saw ,all the same, a lot of beautiful objects like mosaic murals, statues ... Laura Huss 1S1

Medellin,

Visite de Medellin , village natale du conquistador Cortès , joli village médiéval

Cortès was born in Medellin in 1485. It is a medieval village.

We visited its beautiful castle, which was open-air. It was very beautiful, it seemed like we were in old castle from the Middle-Age. Indeed, we saw a cistern. It was very sunny, and it permitted us to see the great landscapes surrounding. And as everywhere in Miajadas, we could have the pleasure to see
lots of storks.

Monday January 28th

We met with every Comenius student in the sport center, to play some games to get to know each other.

Those games were sometimes weird but very funny at the end, then after a good breakfast we went to Medellin.

We visited the castle and there the Spanish students performed the play of "Romeo and Juliet", it represented a huge work for them and finally it was really well played.

I spent the afternoon in Almoharin, where a beautiful sun shone all day long, with Lune and her friends. We visited the small town and enjoyed our week off.
It was a very pleasant day.

Tuesday January 29th

Guided visit of Trujillo

and Cacéres

Wednesday January 30th, 2013

This day was the last one in Miajardas, first we were in a part of the school where students can learn a specific job. We cooked there " éclairs au chocolat"
 and we also learnt how to solder tins,

it wasn't that much interesting because it was a bit long. But some of us liked it nevertheless.

Then we went to the town hall to see a PowerPoint about ecology and recycling, of course it was important .

I spent the rest of the morning in lessons where it was very.. special. Pupils don't respect the adults the same way as we do in France and the lessons were noisier than in France, I can't really understand how they can work that way.
Back home I ate fajitas with Lune's family, the temperature was hotter than the last past 6 months, it was like summer. Then it was already time to say farewell to Lune and her family, and to every pupils we met there, it was a bit sad but we promised to try to see each other again
